- Per-Project basis: A project will be inspected thoroughly by both parties, and a number will be proposed based on the total effort, the number of possible revisions, or other key factors.
- Per-Hour Per-Project: An individual will get paid on a per-hour basis for the project that he or she is working on. The rate of the project may be flat, or may vary from project to project. Such pay rates are generally used when contracted with a company that contracts with other companies.
- Other: There are many other scenarios, such as per-hour, per-task, etc.
