Moderator - can you please move to Meta? I don't have enough award points.

Chris W. Rea suggested this great idea.

Imagine: a general "Business Administration" site covering business, management, and accounting might be able to get off the ground. Members from Money, The Workplace, Law, Project Management, Economics, and Freelancing could be interested in related topics that are specifically off-topic at the existing sites. Plus, all of those SE sites would have somewhere to migrate a good portion of the questions they would otherwise close as off-topic – Chris W. Rea Nov 12 at 22:03

I'm even wondering if it might be possible for the Freelancing SE to have its scope broadened and be rebranded as a new "Business" site. Freelancing have only had ~50 questions asked in the last 6 months, and they failed to elect new moderators in their recent election. Broadening the mandate at Freelancing to cover more general business questions might make it a more viable community. – Chris W. Rea Nov 12 at 22:05

  • I absolutely won't deny that this site struggles and may not graduate from beta.. but for someone with 1 rep (meaning no activity here) to post stating this site needs to change merely based upon some suggestion from some other user with only a few hundred rep here (meaning very little activity), is a bit uncouth if you ask me. There are areas of Freelancing which are unique and its not really the same as general business operations since freelancing is customarily a one person, direct to client, operation. But, again, as posted.. I can't deny this site struggles a great deal. – Scott Nov 18 '20 at 7:35
  • If Mr Rea is so concerned about this site.. he could have nominated himself to be a moderator. And "general business"questions, to my knowledge are not off-topic here unless they relate to employees and all that that entails. But Workplace covers those issues does it not? – Scott Nov 18 '20 at 7:37
  • Agreeing with @Scott that there are unique areas of Freelancing which would be drowned out in a more generic 'Business Administration' forum, e.g. establishing and maintaining a personal brand, risk avoidance/handling. – morsor Nov 19 '20 at 11:50
  • Even more suspect since the username/account has been removed. – Scott Nov 19 '20 at 16:55
